Plant Concerts

At our plant concerts, we try to connect nature and sound. Equipped with computers, synths and homemade music machines, the artists Bo Thorning, Anders Børup and Andreas Wetterberg play music with plants.

Bo Thorning has developed electrodes that connect to plants in order to convert human touch on leaves and branches into music. The music is developed in electronic music systems unique to each musician, yet connected via a mutual score of scales, soundscapes and mechanical and digital beats. Along the way, the artists will build, adjust and play on the singing plants.

After a concert, the audience are invited to play on the interactive plants in a sensory universe consisting of plants, humans and machines.

We try to use the plants as a medium for interaction and questions about how plants behave and coexist with each other and with us human beings.
